lvl 45 Black Mage Quest- The Blood Must Flow

Time: September 23rd, 2300 - 2400 EST

Job: Black Mage
Quest: The Blood Must Flow lvl 45
Location: Thal's Respite, Eastern Thanalan
Issue: Can't use acquired item (Spoken Blood) on planar fissure. Target is invalid.

Details: I completed the other parts of this quest without issue and received my first 3 relic pieces. The fourth piece (the hat I believe) is proving more troublesome.

I defeated the mobs that spawned from the 'planar fissure' and received 'spoken blood', which my journal says I must now pour into the planar fissure to receive my 4th piece of armor (this was the same with the other 3 pieces). The description for the blood indicates that it is to be used in the quest The Blood Must Flow. However, when I target the fissure and use the blood I'm interrupted and told "invalid target". I've tried logging out and exiting the game completely, but the issue still persists.
