What's the fastest way to level a DoL. Levequests or grinding?

Grinding. Do the achievements an youll be good to go. Leave the leves for crafts.

Leves are faster than grinding, but they're also absurdly fast for DoHs, so it's a matter of where you want to use your allowances. The main upsides to grinding it out are a) letting you use leve allowances elsewhere, and b) giving you materials to level DoHs.

Leves are technically faster. You get the same exp as you would with grinding, plus the leve reward exp.

I usually do a mixture. I'll do a leve and blow all my GP on it, then grind inbetween leves waiting for my GP to come back. This also gives me some stuff to sell. A lot of people like to save their leves for DoH instead, but if you're like me where your allowances will always be maxed at 100, use leves whenever on whatever.

While leves are faster, I also find grinding out a certain item for DoH leves to eliminate some of the grindy feeling.

For instance, yesterday I was taking my culinarian from 20 to 35, leveling off leves that required chamomille and millioncorn. I pretty much grinded out two levels of Botany before I even knew it by harvesting these items until I had a considerable amount of the HQ versions of each. In my mind it seemed to go by much faster since I was focusing on the goal of leveling my culinarian.

So in short, I would use leves to level faster if you can afford the allowances, but also occasionally grind out a level here and there especially if it can yield you usable items for your other crafting classes.

Generally, stick to the highest level gather you can get 100% gather rate on. Every missed gather kills your exp chain as well as costing you 1/4th or more of your exp for that node. Using GP to get to 100% is fine, though it'll slow you down some if you have to use Field Mastery 2 to get to 100%.

I'm getting a lot of XP just from grinding out materials I need for my Weaver that I'm leveling alongside the Botanist. After that I'm just trying to do everything in the gathering logs for that XP. That takes me most of the way to the next class quest and gathering log/weaver level range, but if need be I can always grind out random gathers. But having a purpose to what you're doing, along with breaking it up between Weaver and Botanist, makes it more fun for me. Just mindlessly grinding is going to get boring, but my methods now feel calm, fun, and purposeful and the mini goals I set for myself along the way keep me going.
