    Launcher not loading properly

    Hi all - I recently installed ffxiv on my laptop but the launcher doesn't seem to be loading properly. At first when I installed it, I walked through all the prompts about accepting the terms of service agreement as well as signing in with my square enix account, and then it went through the update process. After downloading the full 9GB update, it just leaves me with this sort of half-loaded screen. I've tried uninstalling, clearing out any residual leftover files, and reinstalling the game multiple times, to no avail. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? I'm attaching a screenshot of what it looks like:

    looks like security may be blocking the streams. It's kinda like you have Twitter loaded, but not seeing the tweets.

    Check your logs (both Windows and security software) to see if it's logging any blocks or errors.

    I'm having the exact same problem as this, already tried SE support and they just suggested stuff I've already done. I've reset my internet options and reinstalled .NET framework 4.5, also tried reinstalling the game about 10 times. Not tried looking through the log but any idea where and what sort of warning I'd be looking for? Only other option I can see is formatting the pc but I could do that and it might make no difference for all I know.

    What operating system do you have? 64 bit or 32 bit? Are you able to check in the event viewer to see if there are any messages when you get to this point?
