    The FATE train...

    I really dislike the fact that 30-50 or more players gather in a town (quarrymill?), and sit and wait for a FATE to appear on their map. ALL those people then rush to the FATE area and beat it before the time hits 13:00. The FATE train then goes back to town...leaving in their wake countless aggroed mobs runnining all over the place. It's a complete joke, I love the game, but these FATES need a tweak. There were so many people trying to do FATES today that the "rubber band" lag started to happen...first time I saw it. SE spread us out, give us other viable methods of leveling. Everything seems rushed...fates get here get there now now, dungeons...you got 90 min come on bonus Xp for going fast. Give us a slowed down nice settled way to level without rushing.

    I much rather do dungeons then fates, but the waits are horrible. I hope they do make some changes.

    I did satasha the other day and was about 40 min. It's long. I push one button in fates..2 if you count tab. It's pretty mindless. So far I have enjoyed everything about this game but FATES. Grinding fates misses so much of the game too. I tried it out from 20-30... Fast paced spammed ice...done. Tried on arc spammed fast knook 15-20. I would totally ditch Xp from fates and make it a seal grind. I understand there will be hard ways to level later on...so grab a full party and chain mobs 10 levels higher than you!? I bet it would work.

    No, it really wouldn't.

    If your goal is to fast exp to 50, then do FATEs. What do you care? If your goal is to see content, do dungeons, and quest, what do you care that FATEs are SLIGHTLY better?

    Like really, the REASON people do FATEs is because past 50 storyline, there is NOTHING to do for your alt. If you're on your first, worry not about the FATE parties and do your storyline. You'll need to anyway, and it gives you boatloads of xp. I had no trouble leveling my first class to 50 with barely ANY fates done, and I never worried whether someone was outpacing me.

    If you turn it into a race, you better do FATEs. If you don't care, or at least say you don't care, then DON"T WORRY ABOUT FATES.

    If you don't like fates.... Don't do them. Not everyone has the same schedule like you, I work and have limited time to play at times... Doing fates to grind another class I like is such a nice way to stay in the game. I'm sorry I don't want to spend 1 month trying to level one subclass character. We live in a day and age where we don't have all the time in the world, that why you have options in game to suit everyone's needs.

    But simply if you don't like it don't wine.... Just don't do it and let others do what they want to do.

    If you're rubber banding I suggest "working" get a better PC or even get a better Internet.... I have not rubber banded once this game.

    Another angle: The more I look at it the more I think that a big part of the core problem lies in the individual mob XP system. As far as I've noticed you get full XP if you tag a monster, and still full XP if you deal enough damage to said monster, also in parties. This heavily favors large-group slaughter mobs who mash down as many weak enemies as possible for maximal XP. Something needs to be done to the group participation XP to actually make beating down tougher enemies a better choice instead. I don't know which way you could actually implement that in a way that'd be both pro-teamplay and making a greater challenge an attractive choice though.

    A simple way to deal with mass-participation FATEs would probably be a way that lets the monsters level up while the participant count increases without making the XP rewards greater. That still dodges the issue of how XP is distributed though.

    The only other option I wouldn't mind to level up here and there is doing fates as well as dungeons. Now that I'm leveling my subclass.... Fates are obviously the best..... I never do dungeons because they give no exp no money worth wile, and I'm going to out level the gear in a couple hours from the dungeon.

    I'd be more than willing to run dungeons all day long to level if they gave XP comparable to FATES.

    My problems aren't really the fates themselves...it's the herd of players going to point a to b back to a all at the same time. Once we get there its AOE festival or press one button party. Those are my 2 biggest concerns. The first - because it looks so funny when I am mining and a herd runs by LOL.. The second- because its gameplay mechanics. Right now there isn't much when it comes to dps in party mechanics. Haven't tried heal or tank. I'd like to see more and hopefully in the future I will.
