PS3 Loss of target focus

Steps:
During combat, it is common for the focus to shift away from the target I just struck. This causes a rhytm of "press button to attack, d-pad to re-focus on intended target, press button to attack, refocus on intended target". The new target is not involved with combat (NPC, non-aggressive MOB) The game is almost unplayable when this happens

This happens to me and I play on a pc with a 360 controller for Windows. This is really annoying especially if you are a tank. I've tried different settings and nothing works.

@allesasi Maybe it's related to gamepad?


A perfect example: A quest that needs to '/beckon' an NPC. I beckon until a mob appears. I focus on the mob. I attack the mob. The NPC steals focus. I refocus on the mob. Attack the mob. NPC steals focus. etc. etc.

If you want to mark something as your main target hit the x button twice when you target it. This then allows you to switch to a secondary target to sleep/dot/heal and then you will be automatically moved back to your main target.
