We are a Community-Focused group of players with a big emphasis on recruiting others who fit in with our existing members and build bonds for the future beyond any one game. We have casuals and older members with busy lives who will make up our standard member rank of Titan, but we also have a hardcore/competitive core that has more time to commit to PvP practice schedules and completing server firsts for Raiding, those members will make up our Olympian rank. We are not pigeon-holing ourselves to any one aspect of the game or to any one type of player, we seek to provide a friendly environment for everyone to fit in.

Titan Guild Charter


Titan's core dates back to 1995. Over that lifespan, the guild transitioned to more modern models, adopting a new name and face with each modernization process to reflect that change. Titan has undergone that transformation three times. Our success comes from experienced, proven leadership and from the core values and laws established. We are constantly striving for perfection, and consider ourselves as a premiere guild that seeks unity and values excellence, teamwork, family, and friendships. As with all successful guilds, member participation is critical. Here are some of our core guild goals, rules, and policies that potential members should know before attempting to join.


General Mission Statement



Titan is an online, multi-gaming community. We do not exist for a specific game. Our community consists of mature adults, and veteran gamers. Our purpose is to ensure that Titan is community focused and continually strives to be among the strongest, most well known, and successful online gaming communities around. We are dedicated to a friendly, team focused, enjoyable environment where every member is just as important as the next and never considered just a number on a roster. Titan strives to foster long-term friendships among its members and use it to enhance the online gaming community experience.

Recruitment Process



Titan is currently accepting applications for new members but only for the select games listed below. We are building for the long term, so our applications process reflects that. For example, we have a specific timeline for acceptance, which will take place after four weeks from application submission, but you may be denied at anytime within that period. If within four weeks, you have not demonstrated sufficient and desirable traits and capabilities then you will be denied. We do not extend applications and do not allow them to run longer than four weeks unless specific real life events occurred. Even then, it will be on a case-by-case basis. Should an event inhibit your ability to display your worth, you may request that your application be placed on hold.


Titan will only take in people when we are sure we want to add someone, and when we are sure that the person is a good fit for our community, and us for them. Titan understands this kind of recruitment is not for everyone, but it is what works for us.

Please keep in mind that Inactivity in any area expected of you for more than a week after your application has been posted will result in your application being automatically denied. Please be sure to participate in our forums, VoIP server, and a game that members in the community are playing.

Code of Conduct



Titan will only accept applicants into its ranks to become members if they are of similar personalities, goals and values of its core membership. Every member will support and follow Titan's code of conduct. Violation of the code of conduct will result in removal from the guild. Titan's code of conduct includes, but is not limited to the following:


Guild Before Self



Titan expects all members to ensure that all actions they take reflect the mindset of guild first. As a member of Titan, we expect you to show respect to your fellow members and leaders and conduct yourself properly while wearing our guild tag. Every single action a member does reflects on the guild overall, its image and on all members. We expect members to carry themselves in a manner worthy of respect so that their actions only reflect positively on the guild. Titan works hard to build and maintain its image and it starts by holding everyone involved in the community accountable for their actions.


We Recruit Individuals, Not Pixels



Titan looks for good individuals, not only a pixel that meets a specific set of requirements. Titan does not allow dual guild membership. If you are playing a different game, than ones that the community has official branches opened in, then you are free to join another guild and retain your Titan membership. Where membership in another guild is accepted, we do place some restrictions such as that the guild you participate with does not cheat or use exploits.


Confidentiality, Integrity, Assurance



Titan does not permit to relaying any information outside the guild, for any reason, at any time. Titan values confidentiality, integrity, and assurance, as we are a private gaming community. It is never acceptable to share Information with the public except through official and sanctioned processes. Therefore, members should not reveal any information, no matter how minor they may think it is, without obtaining permission first.


Activity



Titan expects participation in guild events. In game activities occur all the time. Titan expects members to take part in as many of them as possible. Titan does understand that people have lives and cannot live within the online world and that is acceptable. However, if you are online, and we are having a guild event of some sort, you need to be there and participating in it. Actively working against the guild on any mission or creating dramatic disruptions will result in immediate and permanent removal.


Leadership and Support



Deciding leadership and support roles in Titan occur based on two factors. The first is demonstrated ability and the second is the need for a leader or support staff in a particular spot. Titan strives hard to ensure that your leaders are working hard to make the community more fun for you. However, the reason behind every decision is not always apparent in the present when an order is given, but all orders from commanding officers need to execute immediately. If errors occur, you should send a report to the council where they will review the report, and if needed, make changes to the commanding officer team. If such a case is not in order, then all commanding officers should be listened to as though it was a council member issuing the order.


Teamwork and Friendship



Titan has a community forged from teamwork and friendship. Titan always expects members to provide backup to their guildmates because they will do the same for you. Titan members understand that sometimes personal character sacrifice can be a requirement for the team to complete a strategy or scenario in order to be successful and triumphant. We do not view it as personal sacrifice, however, because we are helping a friend or friends and that is more valuable than pixels. Games will always come and go, but friendships forged in Titan will always remain. Make friends in the guild. Titan's central nervous system is a team of friends and family. So make friends because those friendships make us strong and provide us a reason to fight.


Inactivity



Inactivity is not needed in any guild. Failure to maintain acceptable levels of activity will result in your membership being removed. Titan, however, does have an inactive status for members who are retired from the games we play, but wish to join us in future games. For those active in games, Titan expects members to read our own forums daily for any updates. It is unacceptable to disappear off the face of the earth without any post or notification that indicates you wish to go to an inactive status. Going inactive without notification will be taken as a sign you have quit the guild and membership is removed. Upon return, you may re-apply to the guild based on the standards and status of recruiting at that time.


Exploiting Game Mechanics



We do not condone exploiting of any kind in any game, or for any reason. There will be zero tolerance for the use of hacks, exploits, glitches or cheats. The word of the developers is law. If you are caught cheating, there will be no judge or jury, you will be removed.


Maturity



Members that do not behave in a mature, professional, and team focused manner or those who are self-focused, loot focused and immature will not be tolerated. If you have issues with guild policies, then bring them directly to the council. Failure to act maturely, or publicly bashing and complaining will not be permitted. Attacking a member personally is not permitted. Titan expects members to handle issues with each other 1 on 1, and in a mature professional way. If that is not possible, or common ground is not found, then we expect members to seek an officers help if needed. Under no circumstances will personal attacks on other members be allowed.


Respect



Have respect for fellow members. If they ask you to cutout or cutdown on profanity usage, or certain conversation content, then do it. Backstabbing, scamming, stealing or other malicious acts are not permitted.


Compliance



Members who cannot follow or uphold the code of conduct for Titan will be removed from the guild. If you are feeling a sense of entitlement because you have been around longer, do not think that these rules and the code of conduct will not be applied to you.

Guild Requirements



In addition to adhering to our code of conduct, our guild requirements are as follows:


Age



Titan will only accept applications for membership from adults over the age of 18. Regardless of age, Titan expects a certain level of maturity and professionalism in all members. Children, trolls, drama queens, self-centered people, and immature people do not have a place in this guild.


Expectations



Titan expects all members to exemplify the values of our guild (see code of conduct). We are team oriented and community focused. We do not backstab each other. We are not anti-social players or loners. We always work in the best interest of the team and strive to maintain an enjoyable atmosphere. Titan expects new members to achieve some level of competence in games we play and in the aspects of the game that they participate in (PVE, PVP, Both). That standard level of competency is variable and changes from game to game. As far as personality and play style, Titan looks for people that match our community culture. If your style and personality does not complement ours, then membership here will not be in our or your best interest.


Joining, Quitting and Rejoining




Titan's policy on rejoins is very strict. If you join and quit, we most likely will not extend a second chance to rejoin. If a member quits online gaming because of real life issues such as work, medical, family or school, but wants to rejoin, then we will allow them to rejoin as long as they were in good standing when they left.


Guild Promotion



Titan consists of experienced, skilled and veteran leadership that has been proven countless times over our 18 years of existence as three previous entities. With over 25 years of combined leadership, Titan understands guild psychology fairly well. Titan will never recruit someone into a council or staff support role. Titan believes in and will always promote from within the guild based on a number of factors. Criteria that are reviewed include time in guild, demonstrated leadership ability and related qualities that reflect those that our own Council, Support Staff, and Branch Commanders display. An individual that joins and just has to have a leadership role in order to be happy is looking at the wrong place because it means that this is not the guild for you, and your personality will not be a match with ours. Titan's core is made of winners who excel in everything they do. Titan is not after glory queens and those that must have promotions and leadership in order to be happy and inflate their egos.
