When so many people are confused as to what they're generally supposed to be doing and where to even go to do it for something so basic and vital as leveling your primary class, someone didn't just drop a ball somewhere; they karate kicked it right out the door.

I feel your pain, folks. And I wish SE didn't hate succeeding so much. This could be an amazing game if they didn't try so bloody hard to impress almost nobody with mind-numbing grinds.

    Wow.......

Did you all fail at MMO 101 or what. My first trip to 50 was with out any such hick-ups. Zones are tiered by areas so you need not clear an entire zone before moving on. Just come back from time to time to see what has come available as you level. Follow the main story lines. Run a few dungeons. Do fates as you are near them. Personally moved from lvl38-43 in one day my first time to 50. Look for a fate group every once in a while levels 20-39 can go as fast as a level an hour if you get the hang of it.

Lastly, the time you have spent here reading this and posting above has cost you probably 50k exp in potential earnings. If you aren't interested in the end game content then don't bother putting the time into it. As in all MMO's there has to be an element of grind to it in order to separate the men from the boys, otherwise its called a RPG.

'Separate the men from the boys'? Wow. Just wow.

That's exactly the type of intellectually-challenged window-licking zeal lazy game devs pray for in abundance, Stormhaven. They can get your...special sort of mentality...to run any treadmill, no matter how stupid, because they can bank on that internet ego to make those possessing it, in all its pitiful frailty, do anything. No matter how asinine and vapid the task, or even the total failure of the service provider to provide their paid-for service, there those spouting such hilarity will be, because they need to prove their manlitude.

Do something with your life that teaches you the value of time. Then you'll understand why your idea of 'separating the men from the boys' is really more...identifying the idiots and fleecing them in the most expediently lazy way possible.

Cheers. 'Wow' indeed. What's next out of your gem purse; we don't 'want it bad enough'?

MMO 101: Its still a game. Are you playing it or is it playing you?

Those two both had plenty of quests.

The rule of thumb is to save side quests for your alt-classes, and I'm on that bandwagon, but sometimes you gotta do them to push forward. The xp reward from leves is terrible.

Also, check out your hunting log. You can get some sweet xp if it's not caught up.
See, I didn't know to save the side quests. I just did everything I saw. My current levels are 21 Arcanist, 17 Thurmaturge and 15 Conjurer. I've cleared La Noscea, The Black Shroud and Thanalan's hubs that I'm aware of using their respective classes (Arcanist, Conjurer, Thurmaturge). I don't want to just grind Guildhests and Leves, though I've completed every one of those. My class quests are caught up, and my story quest is stalled on the dungeon which just won't pop in my available playtime. I'm sort of just wandering the world trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do to just push the story. I'm not even going to touch crafting yet when I can barely understand what I have in front of me.

EDIT: My hunting logs are caught up as well. I just unlocked the third tier of Arcanist so I'm clearing through those now.

That dungeon you're having troubles getting you into is what's holding you up. That's probably one of the story dungeons and they are required to progress. Quests will gate based on your completion of them. Finish the dungeon and you'll have a large number of quests open up to you for the next tier of content.

    Big LOL:

I got 7 quests at lvl 42 and 7 quests at lvl 43, that was it...ridiculous.
    Its a non-finished game, basta.

EDIT: After fate Grinding for 200000 xp now lvl 44, no normal quests, just 2 dungeon quests.... :////////////////
