    "Technical support"... So where is the support staff?

    I've yet to see a staff member on this part of the forum. So far, we've had members helping other members or white knights telling people to "gtfo".

    I don't like to do this... But look at WoW, almost every thread that is at least semi-respectable gets answered but here.. Nothing.

    Customer service is too busy answering 2+ hour queue lines on live chat and phone support, unfortunately for some issues they're powerless to do anything. Their email ticketing system also seems to be backed up about five days for just automated messages. I don't think that leaves anytime for them to be on the forums.

    Well if anything the best way to complain at this point is with our wallets. They got the message back in v1 and it seems that even three years later that's the only language they seem to understand.

    This is a place for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn players to discuss technical issues with each other and find a quick resolution to issues they are experiencing. There may be instances where Square Enix will provide information and introduce knowledgebase articles.

    Like it or not that's how it is. Don't get upset at the guy simply pointing out what should already be public (read the sticky) knowledge.

    Have to back Jackel up on this one. It was the same way with XI.

    Your more direct route to support is through their Support Portal. The forums have always been a "virtual sandbox" for the players (I know, that can be interpreted different ways, but best way I can think of to describe it). It is intended for us to use it for discussing issues/solutions and for providing some feedback opportunities between SE and the players (in both directions). They were never meant to be a direct support option between the players and SE.

    That is why there are two different links---one to the forums, one to the support portal.
