i think everyone who complains here is just impatient... ffxi took years till it is what it is now.SE cant do magic....give it some time. and i like it better if everything comes step by step instead of all at once.therefore u have sumtin to look forward to.

Like it was stated, since they worked on XI for 4+ years, why didn't they learn from it... and end up releasing what we have now?

They also had no experience, and old techniques, a learning curve to go through and -10 years of experience.

Come 10 years on, with the internet taking over lifes, facebook games with more content and a team that should have learnt from their mistakes and where are we at? Back to square 1.

It seems what SE did was for the first 2 years listened to people bitch about XI and then thought "okay we'll make a new game and address all issues of 2003-2004" and now its 2011 all those issues are useless and dont need to be addressed!
