Perhaps you should take a break from it. Come back in a month or two.

If i come back in a month, patch 1.18 won't be even out yet so still no changes. Also even after patch 1.18 i'm still having doubts that there will be any major change that will make people say "wow or finally the game is on the right track!"

Well it sounds like you're just not happy, which is understandable. Not everyone likes or enjoys the same things that others do... it's not a bad thing it's just a personal opinion and we are all allowed to have them. Of course on a forum you're going to find more people saying they dislike the game or that the game has problems than vice verse because the people who enjoy it are playing, not necessary wasting time coming to a forum.

I feel that sometimes this give the game a negative view that I don't feel it deserves, because obviously I find myself enjoying the game greatly. It is in no way perfect, and yes it does need improvements but I feel that it is improving steadily and it is (in fact) getting better.

Now I'm not saying this in a rude way, like some who might say well then just leave if you don't like it. But, when faced with something in real life that doesn't make us happy we don't keep doing it. We either change it to make it pleasant or remove ourselves from the situation. If the game really doesn't do anything for a player and they are really that bored or unhappy playing it then I guess it's time for them to look within and decide 'do I want to keep going, and maybe continue to be disappointed'? If not, then maybe it time for a player to remove themselves from the situation... maybe not forever but for a time until they feel it's worth coming back.

    Either way, just be happy.

Um... SE doesn't even like the game. That's why Tanaka got canned, and what was originally supposed to be a subscription game is now free to play.

You couldn't be more right. If i don't like a game i usually don't play it anymore, it is that simple. But it's different with FFXIV. I had very high hopes for this game. SE teased it as the next great MMO and it will only be 2nd to WOW. But instead we got a game that is inferior to almost every single popular mmo out there.

SE recognized that and apologized for it.... they even gave us free play time. They changed the dev team and producer and made a shit load of promises that gave us even more hope then before the game was ever released. Now they don't look like they can keep that many promises and people are losing all hope.
