Anyone else feeling bored with FFXIV?

I started playing back in december and even after a couple of patches, today the game feels no different then back in december.

Granted there was quite a few changes made and tweaks from the patches but nothing major or anything that imo makes any real difference for gameplay.

I was always so excited for producer's letter and updates from SE but now lately they all sucked. The last letter was ok but other then the screenshots for the new camps, there was nothing in the letter that we didn't know besides the fact that patch 1.18 will be coming in about a month and a half from now.

That is a long time to wait for a patch and so far i only saw Yoshi-p keep his promise of patches twice a month only once. There was always delays and reasons to push back even before and after the earthquake.

Patches are slow, small and bring little to no significant changes to the game. Communication is lacking, Producer's letters take longer to come and barely give 20% the amount of info the first letters gave. SE is playing the silence game, the dev never commented on the NA forums and Yoshi-p even stated that we should stop translating his posts as there is misunderstanding after so in a word no love or communication for any player besides the Japanese ones.

I have 0 motivation to level up. Behest get boring quick, Levequests are horrible(i used to play WOW and never liked daily quests and levequests are pretty much the same but with longer cooldown and poorly designed quests) Grinding? No thanks! If i wanted to grind my way to R50 i would playing a grindfest asian mmo.

So today i'm giving up on this game. I may take a 2nd look sometime after the first expension is launched but even then i'm sure it will only bring the changes we are all expecting to come now. I feel like SE is holding on on the real changes and major tweaks for the expension. Keeping us around with small patches and false hopes until they have the expension ready then they will have a reason to make us spend some more cash on an expension just to get the stuff we should have gotten with the initial purchase of the game.

Feeling pretty similar think I burned myself out on the game, all I am doing atm is just logging in for Leve's and that is it. Got fed up with crafting and have no desire to take it any further until it stops being a ridiculous grind. I would love to party and play my battle classes grinding but the SP is so low compared to Leve's it just make it not worthwhile. So yeah I am bored I guess ; ;

No. We shouldn't need 100 threads saying the same exact thing when we could have 1 thread with 100 posts. It doesn't make sense that these keep popping up when there are always threads on the New Posts link that deal with this already.

OP is right, patches are lackluster and game is going no where soon. Its like 3/4 of the ship has already sunk and they're still trying to patch up the holes.

Not everyone comes to the forums everyday, this is the first time I've seen this topic here.

i think people are blind to think it really changed a lot. Only a few "hotfixes" happened and the ui is slow now, not terribly slow and some balances to SP happened. the sidequests, who, especially the first part, were even worse then leves (in terms of creativity).

But looking at the linkshells on lindblum and the population around camps, the last letter kinda destroyed a lot of the remaining hopes it seems. The June update has to be some kind of miracle... i dont believe in miracles though. but i would love to be wrong

I am waiting for 1.18 and 1.19 if there isn't s decent sized amount of content added to keep me busy then that will probably be it for me and a few others I suspect.
