Remind me again how many groups have cleared Coil.3 Rehashes of primals already out. A new primal fight with Mog King. Crystal Tower and 1 new dungeon. Have you bothered to keep up with how fast people are clearing stuff in this game? This stuff only comes out in November. Please tell me how they are going to keep players playing this game during October. They need more end game content otherwise they will lose the raiders who are the people that want to play this game for the long term. Watch more progression websites instead of pointing the finger at me.
So, how was turn 5?
Easy to complete?
Seriously though...
We're a serious end-game raiding Free Company and gearing up other classes and trying to burn through the coil is our plan, then once we have most of the coil's patterns down we'll farm the gear from it until we have our main and secondary jobs geared with Alagan ready for the new content in Late October/Late November.
The one thing we definitely have and most Legacy Players (and non legacy too) have shown in FFXIV, is patience.
BUCKETS of patience. We don't need everything to be a long-grind or new content to be served on a weekly basis. There's a reason we're paying monthly.
Even the raiders from other games are showing this simple degree of patience, they did it in WoW, TERA, SWKOTR.
Get back to us when they've all finished the Binding Coil and are sitting twiddling their thumbs in Ul'dah.

I couldn't disagree more. Player housing and cool furnishings are one of the most loved aspects of many MMOs. I loved making an awesome, unique evil mansion in EQ2 and having a fun, cozy, well-decorated Mog House in FFXI. It gives a great sense of investment, immersion, and individuality.
Plus, housing items can be great for the game economy, a boon for crafters, and it can even make dungeons and raids more worthwhile too.
Who doesn't want to proudly display their hard-earned, valuable, gorgeous raid spoils in their home?? Raid-dropped housing items would make for perfect synergy in FFXIV.

Because the same team that designs fluff items, is the same team that designs soul-crushing dungeon mechanics, right?

You can't sell these housing drops from primals. They appear as unsellable on the item's description.
Edit: I guess you could sell them by trading. You can't put them up on the market, though.

ppl who dont have skill at the game or have time to make friends in the game but have alot of gil will always buy runs...You've got to be kidding me 600K for the dam feather..now I don't need the dam thing
but it's killing participation in other dungeons like Ifrit HM and it's going to cause more players to buy GIl from sellers...
Housing is around the corner save your money don't support this BS
they are not going to be able to help you down group content anyway, so you are not missing out on any potential pt members dude...
and no, the players whom sell runs would NEVER have grouped with you even if they did not sell runs... they run content with themselves or for profit only and are RARELY interested in helping anyone out that is not on their friend lists or has no gil =P

nothing is wrong with the game, nor is there anything wrong with just playing the game with your friends or to make game money...
just because they choose not to spend time playing games with random strangers for no personal gain doesnt make them bad gamers
seriously, back off the entitlement - random strangers dont owe other random strangers ANYTHING in a game, including their time...
is it cool if random strangers DO help out other random strangers? of course
but it certainly is FINE if they choose not to as well
