BARD DPS Slow, Not Low

BARD damage is parsing high due to our ability to move and groove but: In a normalized situation where River of Blood procs are almost non-existent and the enemy health is above Misery's End threshold - we are at a constant 1.0 second down time. Most of our shots aren't instant, as having no cast bar would have you believe. They are 1-1.5 second casts and thus with a 2.5s GCD - we are left with 1 whole second of doing nothing (unless Bloodletter is available). This feels very slow to me, and I'm not sure how other BRD's feel but I think the GCD should be lowered to at least 2.0s normalized. A half second should be enough time to be methodical about choosing abilities and it shouldn't feel as though you're standing there doing nothing. A whole second is a long time in MMO's.

Even monks are right around 2.0 I'm at 2.02 with full DL and relic. So this seems like a bad idea

They should revamp the ARC/BRD entire system and introduce a third person shooter aim reticle and make our attacks into a real shooter, so we can just hold M1 and fire like a machine gun!
And while we are at that, please, give me a fast health regeneration, because healers sometimes refuse to heal me, when I'm the one who's got the enemies attention! <-Probably jelly of my good looks
Wouldn't hurt to make the screen flash red when I'm low on HP as well.

Why doesn't this community have actual intelligent responses? I'm not actually suggesting that they lower just BARD global cool down - I'm suggesting they lower it across the board. I am just providing perspective from BRD point of view -- this isn't a "Buff BARDs" thread.

Unless the forum goers here just happen to lack any real reading comprehension?

Perhaps the GCD decrease was hasty. Maybe a song that affects Skill Speed? For those moments where every second is crucial?

I would even wager that a -10% damage is a fair trade off for faster damage. Give up some large over time damage for short, quick bursts. This would be beneficial for all classes in listening distance.
