I have no problems with my PS3 at all when I do play on the PS3.
It might be with the new slim and super slim models? Cause I have my old 60 gig PS3 model.

I wish they would just ditch the PS3 version when PS4 is out. The PS3 is limiting this game to become great potential, because of the PS3 the game now suffer because of it. Most noticeable loading screen.
This post has nothing to do with the control scheme.I play this game solely on a 360 controller on the PC, so control wise, its possible. Even done AK and a few HM primals with ease with the gamepad. So control wise, its possible. Of course, the ps3 has hardware limitations, and once PS4 comes out, i bet the console players will begin to shine once they break from those limits.
I've had lag on my PS3 Slim model, but it's very random, sometimes I have 0 lag, sometimes I get disconnected all the time in many different situations, so I would say while Ps3 may play some part of it I'm most inclined to believe this is a server/connection issue.
There's someone in my FC that has played the PS3 version and done all the content up through HM Garuda so far with little or no issues.
I figured this game would have problems on PS3 end game. It can hardly keep a steady 30fps during regular leveling, how the hell can it possibly be expected the handle a full team environment.
I wonder why they didnt let PS3 players play with the settings a little. Not the resolution for obvious reasons, but things like shadows couldve come a long way for those whod actually want to take part in end game and FATEs. Probably wont get PS3 version until its in the $10 bin. Even then itll mostly be a placeholder for PS4, lol.
I'm on PS3 and have had no issues with any of the 8mans so far. Haven't started my Hard Modes yet but other than the damn phasing in Fates I haven't had a problem with the game running. Now when 24mans come...I believe that'll be a completely different story.
Also, it's not a rumor that ps3 players get the ps4 version for free. SE announced that themselves. It's a fact.
Yes it is entirely possible. I have an old fatty backwards with cooling upgrade that has never failed me for years. There has been this one problem that occurs every now and then , I do not know if I can blame my ps3 for it or what though. I will be in a dungeon, all is going fine , and a cut scene starts up. After it has played, I will lose a player from my target cycle, I can not target them at all, do not see them, and they are lost from my map or are shoing as still standing in last room :\
The only way this is fixable for me is 2 options, 1. quick reset and come back in or 2. wait for next cs and it just starts working again.
I hate this bug/glitch or whatever it is you want to call it. but it won't stop me from continuing to play on this platform.
I am an exclusive PS3 player and I am part of a static that is working on Turn 2 of Binding Coil. I farm HM Titan almost nightly (getting people keyed for coils) and have no issues with the performance or control that the PS3 offers. I'll note that I play DRG so that some of you may have a frame of reference for the amount of movement required when I play.
The only times that I have noticed a drop in performance is when a giant tree mob (I forget their name) comes into view in the immediate foreground of the screen and the game has to attempt to render all the leaves of the tree. I noticed this last night and it is the only drop in performance that comes to mind.
Of course the models of players and mobs in FATEs and densely populated sanctuaries seldom load but that has been found to be an issue on PC as well.
