Endgame content on the PS3. Possible?

I play this game solely on a 360 controller on the PC, so control wise, its possible. Even done AK and a few HM primals with ease with the gamepad. So control wise, its possible. Of course, the ps3 has hardware limitations, and once PS4 comes out, i bet the console players will begin to shine once they break from those limits.

I play PS3 and I have no issues with 8 man content.

Yes it is entirely possible. I have an old fatty backwards with cooling upgrade that has never failed me for years. There has been this one problem that occurs every now and then , I do not know if I can blame my ps3 for it or what though. I will be in a dungeon, all is going fine , and a cut scene starts up. After it has played, I will lose a player from my target cycle, I can not target them at all, do not see them, and they are lost from my map or are shoing as still standing in last room :\

The only way this is fixable for me is 2 options, 1. quick reset and come back in or 2. wait for next cs and it just starts working again.
I hate this bug/glitch or whatever it is you want to call it. but it won't stop me from continuing to play on this platform.

while I have switched to PC version on my bootcamped Mac mini (looks like ps3 but with more people/mobs visible) due to issues with fates and select few ps3 issues, I have not had nearly as many issues on my original model PS3 that most people have observed.

Most people I know with many issues on PS3 have newer slim/superslim models, and most with minimal issues have to old fat boys, so it seems there may be some type of generational issues with the PS3, but soon ps4 and all be fixed.

I've gotten up to the coil and never had issues with using a gamepad(ps3 gamepad on pc).
The only issues I've had on the ps3 version is character loading slowly on the screen(not an issue in dungeons).
I'd make sure you have a solid wireless connection or even wire it in.

A buddy of mine plays exclusively on PS3 and is on Turn 2 of Coil, so I'd assume that it's possible.

I've got a launch day PS3 (fatboy) and a wired "excellent" connection. My effect settings are turned way down. I'm on AT&T U-Verse...etc etc etc

I've pretty much got what the community considers an optimal setup for a PS3 player. Yet still have tonnes of issues. I'm going to try again today since I'm off work and see if things are different when playing off-peak.

I play on a slim model PS3 that was released when the super slim was as a special edition and have had no problems whatsoever. Even when PC players have had issues I haven't so I don't think there is that much of a difference and while there might be for some (probably dependant on how much you have on your PS3, cache etc) it isn't big enough to stop you playing the game. I think a lot of it stems from PC master race's hatred for consoles tbh as I've seen a lot of people denying PS3 players access to endgame content.

Also just gonna add in that JP players largely play on PS3 as most don't have gaming PC's as such yet they have still reached coil of Bahamut and are on the same level if not better than NA/EU. Still can't wait for the PS4 version though!

As it has been mentioned countless of times already... the lag/ disconnects and disappearing mobs are ALL under the SE servers too many players playing on the same servers at the same time and there is something wrong with the way their algorithm for displaying characters and mobs works. This is a known issue BOTH on a $5,000 PC and a $299 PS3. Hope this helps clear up confusion.
