    Fate opens up. Everyone talks to it and says. Battlefield for lv50 do you wish to Enter?
    Yes.

    It warps you into an area where players are fighting it. Once area reaches its cap noone else can enter. That Cap being 50 players. This area works like a dungeon so noone can even summon their minions if they wanted.

    Everyone wins and exits and earns silver or gold.

    So you want an event meant to be open world content to be instanced for level 50s only not only that you only want 50 players on a server of 8000 to do said event Ill would have to pass and say no to this.

    I say have these battles as 24 man guildhest challenges and only allow a player to complete this challenge once a day/week.

    This way it would work more like BCNM's from 11 than the Zerg nonsense we experience in this game.

    These FATEs really don't work when you have 50-100 people all hitting on the same target.

    Not to mention the sheer number of people in one zone has been causing the servers to severely lag or crash as a result. Accessing Behemoth and Odin via guildhests gives people a reason to care about guildhests.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Game really needs poppable NM's no one else can help you with or even heal you(/healaid off from ffxi + leve system from this game) as well as group leves for epic bosses that can be done once a week or every 3 days or something. Fates are garbage in their current state, Tequatl in GW2 is the only fate boss done right, and it took them over a year to create a single good one.

    You also ignore that parties cap out at 8 players, thus the 'final' number would be a multiple of 8.

    I was under the impression the problem with these FATEs was that players couldn't see Odin/Behemoth? With their poor priority system of which assets load/zone out, even 50 players is potentially be too many. I haven't actually counted some of the sizes of FATE zergs, but even in Quarrymill I have experienced NPC phasing in and out.

    I like this idea. The primal fights are good fun, and more no trash, no nonsense encounters (like the upcoming moggle mog) would be awesome, even if they were on a weekly lockout.

    We are getting alliance parties in 2.1, which will be 24 man, but that still doesn't change your point about 50 people in an instance.
