secondly, i wonder how many of those rageing nerds whom leave after ONE wipe in a dungeon buy single player games and rage-quit them because they failed ONE time?

lol... i giggle when i think they do this!
Currently now the game rewards player with first Victory rewards in lower dungeons but once level 50 there is no such rewards. First time victory rewards give players with exp and gil based on how many players have not obtained their first Victory in the dungeon or primal fight yet in dungeons and primal fights not lvl 50.

At lvl 50 there is no such rewards it is just simple win and get something. There is no incentive to help players learn how to play through the dungeons or primal HM since people are rushing endgame.

the dungeons and Trails we have from lvl 15 to lvl 49 completion rewards are First time Victory rewards. The size of rewards is only measured by how many players have not obtained their first victory yet.

The 'Noob in the party' message shouldn't serve as a warning to elitist (-.-) but as a notification that there's someone new, and people should be taking it easy and guiding them. The idea is, the game is a community. Players should be helping, not ditching the party. A way to fix that is to discourage this kind of negative behavior. Removing the newbie notification is not the way to go.

As others have said, it is a good feature to have. If anything I would rather see a scaling penalty for those that ditch early, but before something like that is done need a way to deal with people who afk/logout during instances. Ideally the penalty for leaving before a mob is touched would be the same as the longest queue time someone in the group had.

Also the OP makes me glad I still think of Newb/Newbies and NOOB separately. To me typically NOOBs don't learn or refuse to listen to anyone, where as the Newbies do learn and at least listen to others, granted some can be slow learners.

Thanks to elitists, I don't say much in the chat. I just play along and usually get things right the first time, if not the second or third. The elitists is much like a plague to any game. Most deny new players a chance to play and learn. While a handful of them do provide help and even tips that really is helping.

I don't concider myself as a great MMO player, neither experienced. So searching for group and play and have fun is... nearly the same as playing russian roulette. Either you get in a nice group that helps instead of talking **** and behaves like the biggest **** in history, or you get into a group full of players that should be placed in a hardcore dicipline camp, of sorts.

There was this one dungeon I said I was new in, and the leader and one other member sure was helpful. Ended up being a nice run. Though I gotta say I haven't been in a party yet where there's a-holes. So doing dungeons has been a nice experience so far. So, I think that message should stay.

This Miqo'te THM/BLM desires nothing but death and destruction of Garlean Empire.

I've personally never had a problem like this yet, but then again I haven't done any of the 50 dungeons. I've run into the opposite problem on occasion, when two of us talk over each other to explain fights

I think by now the lower level dungeons (what I'm doing, both by myself and taking a lower friend through them) have become pretty much empty of people rushing to 50 - they've already finished the story, done the dungeons, and are fate grinding new classes. Anyone still doing the story is either doing it slowly, at their own pace, and therefore won't rush, or doing it to help others, and therefore again won't rush.

"New Player" notification or not, I always ask... "Does everyone know what to do?" If people speak up, I'll go out of my way to explain. I've seen people with relics who play terribly and people in AF who play very well. I once saw a Garuda where one tank had some AFv2 pieces and their +1 relic, so they insisted they should main tank... But then the group kept wiping because the main tank was doing really silly stuff you're not supposed to do, such as facing the mob toward the party. It ended up turning into the offtank having to take over as maintank, even though his gear wasn't very good. You can't judge an adventurer by their armor. ;P

By the way... on the topic of 'arbitrary' gear checks... In fights like Titan, the vitality boost from DL and damage increase for heart phase is nice... but in runs like AK? I saw some dude shouting the other night that he had full DL and a relic+1... he was asking for an AK group. That is totally unnecessary and makes the place out to be much harder than it actually is. Back when people did speed runs, the tank needed to be decently geared to make it through the 'gauntlet' of mobs, but this was when people were doing AK in an unintended way and it shouldn't have mattered. Meeting the necessary "DPS check" to get past demon wall before you get completely shoved in the purple juice is easy enough in ok gear.

Elitists will only do content with people who have done the content before. I was lucky to get a farm run for Garuda hard tonight, they didn't care whether I had beaten it yet, they just invited me and the other person I had recruited for a "no experience party", and we went and did it. We won our first fight in three tries, and had no deaths after six. Makes you wonder who the truly elite are, and definitely the kind of player attitudes we need to see more of.

    Don't have time to teach?!

If they have time to waste on a stupid video game they have time to teach.

Maybe SE could add a bonus to tomestones too for first timers runs.

Imo DPS should be the only ones that get the 15 minute punishment time, tank/heals should get 30min+ due to insta queues :S
