Everyone complained in FFXI about Abyssea, about how it let you get to 99 so fast, you didn't know how to do your job. You could get there without having to know.

Now, in XIV, they do the exact same thing, making 1-50 a cake walk, where you don't need to learn how to play your class in the least. Then you've got to go do end-game content and "learn" and that's why the content is so hard, because from 1-50, you've not had to actually learn your class, it isn't required.

1-50 should contain portions where you've got to learn your class. The Dungeons done during the story to 1-50 don't help either, they don't require learning your class either.

Basically, you only learn your classic once you hit 50, and do some end-game dungeons. Then you got people, who were in the same situation, complaining about new people in such a situation.

It's funny. Abyssea is credited as killing FFXI, and FFXIV 2.0 is like Abyssea the MMORPG in terms of leveling, and the same people who bitched about Abyssea in FFXI, are now creaming themselves all over 2.0 and it's 1-50 tutorial and how you're supposed to learn your class at 50, instead of while leveling. It's a complete flip.
