Titan and duty finder

IMO it makes no sense the duty finder shoves two tanks into your party. There's no reason for that second tank to be there. It's always much better to bring an extra DD or an extra healer as there are no adds whatsoever in the battle for the off-tank to handle.

First, you have to get lucky enough that the random people in the duty finder are good enough.
Then, if they actually are, you have to beat the fight with one dead weight player.

Thus, making parties with the duty finder it's not really a viable option.

I'd love for this to be addressed.

I actually think Titan's mechanics were intended for 2 tanks: offtank to provoke after mountain buster to allo MT to be healed up, then provoke it back.

As it turns out, once the healers know the order of attacks it is fairly easy to spam heal the MT through MB and just add an extra DD instead... But this might not be doable in extreme mode

Gear != skill. Titan (HM) has been done in level 40 gear, your point is invalid.

As a warrior that parses as high as other DPS, I don't think you quite know what you're talking about. Yes 2 PLD is pretty dumb but its usually PLD and a WAR put together.

Post some parse results from your titan fights. And make it one that includes dots.

Duty Finder = pug, pug's are more prone to misstakes, lets say MT dies then OT is there to continue, dead weight would be dead MT

I get your point, but DF is not about sub-optimizing its "last resort" for ppl to experience content.

Tho I do agree some battles in the DF should queue 1 tank instead of 2, My group beat titan with 2 tanks and we didnt even use the limit break on the heart.

The problem with the DF and titan is players not having up to date gear. 1 or 2 dark light isnt enough, and food also helps.

Also, everyone should at least have the ifrit, or garuda weapon before attempting titan. Gear Level should be 70.

My FC always takes 1 tank 5 dps 2 healers. That 2 tank in duty finder does waste a slot. It is obviously a 1 tank fight so they should change it. But I guess their reasoning is to have a back up tank unless one dies. But if that happens you are probably dead anyway.
