I can't continue the main story any further

I teleported with my party after the Garuda fight and now i can't start or find the quest to continue the story any farther. i can't get back to were you need to talk to Alphinaud after getting off Cid's air ship. i had just finished the lady or the vortex Quest. can anyone help plz

I went to start the Garuda fight quests, but was 1 level shy. I left the airship receiving area (in Gridania) and I couldn't find a NPC to let me back in there. Now I'm stuck outside of the area and can't get back to Cid to flag the fight. I didn't try long before going off to get my needed level, but now I'm worried when I go back I won't be able to get in.

Hmmm isn't it you just talk to the airship person, to uldah or limsa or whatever, and they'll let you back there? :s Dunno, i always made sure to do all the quests and stuff so I was always in the correct lvl range for the next mission.
