Had to reformat and cannot reintall game!

I had to reinstall the game because of a format on my pc. I bought the game from walmart and have the disc and my cd key but when i try to patch it asks me for my product key again.
When i try entering in the product key again it tells me its already in use.
Any suggestiongs or anyone know the answer to this problem?

It is to their digital client download. If you install that, it should ask you for your user ID and password and you shouldn't have to worry about the Key code. Very odd that the key is giving you that problem.

Let us know if this works so we can spread the word about the work-around (which we shouldn't have to do in the first place!)

I dled from that website and as soon as launcher installed i tried to run it and then it asks you to activate or create a new account

I'm the one who have been facing this problem for 1 week. No SE respond me until now
First I reinstalled by using FFXIV Setup for 1.0 player. I stucked at login page. It's ask me for registration code then then I put the beta test code and version 1.0 code nothing happen
Second I borrowed my friend CD to install. It's still stuck at the page of entering registration code again.

I wonder, Is it because I haven't renew payment yet?.

Hmmm...what happened when you said activate? See if that key form wally's world will work there. If it doesn't, i am sorry but i have no clue.

When you click activate it tells you to enter in your cd key again. So i did so and it says this key is already in use.

ShuCho , Are you renew payment?. I've got the same issue for 1 week now.

when I try at my previous PC ( The Old One ). It only ask me to renew payment method at Mog Station. With my new PC It stuck on registration code at login page also.
