Lack of character "skills" customization...?

No choices. Secondary skills are just cooldowns that may be used on correct moment and everyone have access to the same skills (which are indeed 5... so, no choice at all, just level farming).

You go out into a random Primal battle and see how many other casters not cross-classing Swiftcast who can, and you'll see some discrepancies. Some people don't even bother picking up skills or bother leveling the third class which can feed into their cross-class skills. This is like a Warrior picking up Gladiator skills, but leaving Pugilist to rot.
