Final Fateasy

I'm not sure if there are other post like this I didn't look. I was just curious if I'm the only one who thinks fates and the duty finder should be optional while leveling any of your jobs. I for one would just like to quest and only do fates when I need a break from questing and vise versa, I hated being forced to do fate when I leveled for the first time just to unlock my next story quest and I hate only getting to do fates so I can level up my next job it bothers me to no end. Now I'm not sure if this is a problem with enough people to really call it a issue, I just wanted to post my thoughts/rage about it and get some input on what everyone else thinks.

No one is forcing you to do fates, I know couple of people who don't like the fates and like to do quests for tokens to sell for gil, regardless, I know fates exp is tempting and I don't know if that's intended or if its just broken, but no, no one is forcing you to do them, you are the one forcing your self to do them, DF has a really nice amount of exp per run but still has its issues, not to mention lack of tanks, but you can always hit DF while you Quest/do fates, I do that always, I enjoy Dungeons at any given level, helps me learn my class/job and test things before I hit the end game.

Okay I get queing for DF while quest my point is though-out leveling my first job I would hit a point when No more quest where there and my story quest just went red. Much like when you finish your level 45 or 46 story quest and you can do the next part until you hit level 49 and as far and level my next job there are not quest I've done just about all of them what is left other than Fates or DF?

You do know there is level 45, 46, 47 and 48 sidequest right.

Yes, I did them still end up grind fates or doing the DF for a level or two.
Still doesn't really answer why we need to do fates and DF to level the next job you want to level.

You do know there's a total of about 18 side quests between levels 45-50, right?

Doing Fates is the fastest way to get seals which you'll eventually need anyways so why you complaining? Eventually you're going to grind Fates anyways. 2 birds with one stone.

Because Fates are super boring. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to grind them.

Side quests are everywhere, I've been running around when I was able to play (>.> payment issue) doing side quests for tokens for gil, I've been at it for 2 hours and I still keep finding more, every city has side quests, every camp has side quests, every map has side quests, chain side quests, Leve quests, Grand Company Leve quests...etc


There are lots of options to level up, its just people got blinded by fate grinding and ignored the rest, as fast as it is to grind fate, they don't generate much of gil as quests you know?
