Why do people prefer having another bard?

Over say having another black mage?

I'm at the point of doing HM Titan farm runs and start Coil but chatter over the FC and some people on the server and some shouts, I always see 'LF DPS Bard' but then I ask them if they already have a bard and they would say yes and I could get my black mage friend in but then they prefer another bard.

I see a lot of "LF Bard" for some dungeons etc but why would most people prefer going for a bard over a black mage in general? Don't black mages do more DPS than bards and have great burst/AoE? So why grab another bard? That would just make the run longer considering you are grabbing another DPS that deals less damage.

Or maybe it's just some sort of community mentality where bards are on a tier of their own and no one knows that black mages can do more.

Black Mage isn't desirable for HM Titan because you can't cast spells while dodging stuff. Bard will be putting more dps.

Bard is great DPS(both AoE and ST).

Can alternate songs with another BRD.

Safe.

Well ok, maybe Titan I can see that but still, black mage DPS isn't that bad and I think they can output more than a black mage and yeah, alternating songs is amazing but then the DPS output would take a big hit.

Also, for Coil, we always look for a 2nd bard rather than a 2nd black mage...I just feel like bosses would die faster with a 2nd black mage (specially with that aoe)

for titan yeah ppl prefer a bard over a blm , but that doesnt mean BLM are neglected, 1 bard is nice to have in titan because if healers need MP > mp song if both healers die by mistakes , the bard can LB , is ranged and can dps on the move, stil 90% of the bards i see fail to to both , move and avoid Aoes and still keep up with the dps , so meh....

ppl want an easy way for titan , and bards provide that. IF the bards know the encounter .

same goes for DRG and MNK , for titan hearth , the LB for killing it fast is good to have

the only 1 that has problem getting into titan pugs are WAR , ppl prefer PLD ,and ppl want 2 whm and 1 sch for healing.

pugs want the setup that is more easy to do the content.

in the end u can see that EVERY JOB is welcome (other than WARs sorry )

During the weeks ive spent on this forum I can't help but wonder, Savant, are you for real or are you just trolling every day? Because the way I see it, if you are doing titan hardmode (farmruns even) and moving up to Coil as you say, how in earths name do you not understand the benefits of another bard compared to a BLM in that fight? The way I see it you are just trolling or I truly believe you are a idiot to be quite honest. You have been asking this same question in different ways the past weeks and you do not satisfy with the answer you get. Massive medica spam would need the MP regen to back it up. Right now the end game is very heavily heal spamming.

BLM is great, with Astral Fire they can give a massive damage output and Umbral Ice make them not to worry about MP regen.
But, any caster class can't attack while moving, that's the point why people prefer a Bard when doing Titan HM rather than a BLM.

I love being a Bard, and I like being on the support, casting Mage's Ballad or Army's Paeon for my teammate, that's neat

Because Bard is the best damage dealer in the game because of how 90% of endgame fights are structured.

Im just curious, where do you actually see these kind of messages?

Im on Titan HM aswell, but i dont see any ppl searching for it. Im thinking, maybe im in the wrong zone etc.
