Not able to play with friends.

I just bought the game and I wanted to join my friends server but it won't let.

When can expect to get access to it?

The character creation locks are generally only active at "busy" times, (unfortunately for the EU servers this can mean most of the time), but if you're able to try logging on at a more off-peak time the server should be open to new character creation - e.g. tomorrow morning it should be fine.

I've been checking Balmung every few hours for the past two days and it has not opened up (1AM Pacific is not during peak hours). I want to play with my friends. They really need to find a better solution for spreading populations, because as it stands right now, they are likely losing customers who buy the game on the premise they'll get to play with friends. If they are going to continue to disallow character creations on servers, then they AT LEAST need to have a functioning transfer system. This is extremely frustrating.
