    Sorry to hear about your friends.

    Honestly, if you are only level 30, you really have to option to go to any server. Figure levels 1-15 only take about 2-3 hours to do on the main storyline.

    If you have friends on another server you can server transfer soon, or just re-roll on a server with a better community.

    Personally, I had my boyfriend come play XIV with me. The last MMO I played had a small community and I had lots of acquaintances, but I soon found that I was merely staying for the community and the people, the game itself bored the hell out of me. I was literally just standing in one spot chatting with people.
    Coming to a new MMO that doesn't have those close bonds formed yet is definitely a fresh change but it can be disheartening. Give it time, keep playing as you do, try to pick up an FC that will interest you. There's great people out there, but unfortunately we have to find them.
