hm it is faster by a bit i see, but is it worth triple of what NQ sells for if you sell (as it is being sold on my server), probably not. Not because of the gamble at least. If the stuff at least had that better chance of turning into a higher grade like they said it would then perhaps.

I turn HQ out like candy. Materia sells faster over here. My eyes are dollar symbols. Do the math.

quicktongue III was 80k a pop on behemoth so i powered through goldsmith using leves in a few days time and now i make jewelery that i spirit bond in speed runs and am on the selling end of materia

This is stupid imo. If you want crafters to be useful why not let them craft the material itself, why do we need to gimp our selves with crappy gear and grind till our eyes bleed.
It would make much more sense if you could bring the gear from wp/ak to crafter and then he tries to convert it to materia via UI similar to "request melding", not vice versa (buying gear from crafter and converting yourself).

This would solve 2 problems:
1. No more grinding while in crappy gear. Go and kill those monsters dressed in your shiny stuff.
2. Getting stuff in AK/WP would not be as pointless as now with non-sellable, non-convertable loot.
