    can't request meld from a lvl 50 carpenter

    i'm trying to get my bow melded with materia but for some reason request meld isn't showing up, he even did somebody elses melding while i was watching him trying to figure it out. Any ideas?
    I have already logged out, teleported away/back, he relogged also.

    Maybe you haven't took the quest at Mutamix. Go to your armory and check any gears that spirit bond to you and right click if you can see "Convert", if no then yes you haven't take this quest.

    he's right.
    i had some customers who could "request meld"
    they all did every possible quest at mutamix in thanalan. after that it works.

    Check your item level as well. I've had somebody try and request meld from me and they were saying it wasn't working - their item level was too low >.>
