Lobby connection issues.

I've been extremely patient with this issue, hopeing that it would eventually even itself out if given enough time. But really, this is starting to get beyond frustrating. I haven't had any issues with connectivity until patch 1.17a..now, every day I play, I'm losing connection due to some 'lobby connection error' easily ten times a day. It has no pattern, no trend I can follow. But one thing is certain its making the desire to log on dwindle quickly.

Is it something on my end that I can play with to make this go away, or is this just something that has to be fixed on your end and until then I'm basically sol?

One of my laptops had a similar problem. I wasn't able to stay in game for more than 60 seconds. XIV has always been horribly sensitive to lost packets. Moving to a wired connection fixed it for me. ymmv.

Desktop, cable line, everything else tied to cable modem runs just fine without any hiccups. Occasionally something werid may happen and I lose a connection, or some programs restart themselves like I drop connection and gain it again. But typically, that's not the case at all.

It's ridiculous how many new errors appear for people after each update. What could they possibly be doing to cause this sort of thing?

Try resetting your router first of all. Also be more specific with which error you're getting.. I assume 30002?

Yes, the 30002 one. I could've and should've listed that type of information, but honestly I've gotten so tired of having the little blue box pop up that I just push through it, wait for everything to reset itself then log back in and cuss some faceless person for messing with my scarce free time lol

And see, thats the thing, its just after that patch these issues have arisen for me. Now, I'm not saying that it could've happened before, I used to have my screensaver push through after like 3 minutes of no activity on my pc and when I came back I'd get an error saying connection or communication to lobby issues and reset. So I'm wondering if these issues have always been present and its just because of that I've never seen it or if this is truly a new issue. Seeing how many other people are having simliar issues though, I'm thinking the latter.
