I think SE may need to increase the blacklist cap

I bought the game 9 days ago and I am kind of enjoying it.

However, my blacklist is 80/200 and this is just after 9 days. 100% of my blacklist are gold spammers and 80% of those are from hacked accounts (which says a lot about the state of affairs of the GMs when a gold spammer on a hacked account will set up a spamming bot every 2 seconds in a major city and they're still there two days later...with the same hacked account)

Anyways...I fear my blacklist will be full within a month. I wonder how difficult it will be for them to raise the cap?

Until they solve that issue the only suggestion I can offer is empty your black list periodically. What I mean is that some of those characters and accounts are deleted/banned and it will show on your blacklist as (deleted).

Over 40 gil sellers in my blacklist, only 3 show as (deleted). I don't think the banning/deletion is a real success...

Be sure to remove the (deleted) ones as Neo said.

After that, not much you can do. But be sure not to just BL the bots.

Actually report them too, otherwise nothing will get done.

If everyone thinks "Oh, someone else will do it" it'll never be done.

This surprises me. Because I have only blocked 3 in the last 5 days. Mind you I have only been playing on 2 of the servers, so maybe the others I am on still have issues. But since the last big maintenance my spam dropped to virtually nothing.

Maybe for you. Half of my list (about 40) was (deleted). Then again, I reported them. Also another factor was that the hacked accounts were the only ones that look like they remained. All the ones named fsdgfsg asdasd are gone.

Suspended characters won't get deleted if they got hacked and that happened a lot. From October onwards it will be less and less so dont worry.

Of the 80 names blacklisted, most have probably already been banned or recovered. You may be blocking a ton of players who got their account back and (hopefully) learned their lesson/updated security. Regardless, most of those arent even spamming anymore, so you should have plenty of room to clear.

Don't remember how many people I have on BL right now, but it's some 3-4 dozen people. And that's from the past few weeks - only about 2 ever showed up as deleted. Better solution would be: mark recovered chars somehow; add option for recovered chars to be removed automatically; publish a list of chars dealt with periodically; give us an exact timeframe within which every reported char is investigated and dealt with - so we'd know to remove older entries.

In any case, SE needs to get consistent. There's a "Report Cheating" buttong in the Contact Us tab of the Support Desk, where all RMTs and the like should be reported... by default, because if you open Support Desk, you see a little entry at the bottom regarding RMTs - which, if you open it, says to just use the "Ask Question" button of that window - and those actually get answered, real quickly too, while the ones filed via Report Cheating never even get into your history. I'd say it's at least a little confusing.
