Why are we waiting for Producer letters for answers?

I've been a little dumbfounded lately with the way SE is choosing to handle their communication efforts. They open a thread and ask for questions for the producers letter. Then during the producers letter they barely get around to asking any of them. To make it worse they then close the thread and say they will try and get to our questions in the next letter.

Isn't the whole point of having a community team to relay our questions to the devs and get answers back to us? Why are we waiting for producer letters for these answers? Now yes, I know we have seen a few and I do mean FEW questions answered. I always love it when I see these, but they are truly too far and few between.

because community tem can't say anything without been told first. NA/EU team have first to ask the central team for answers, the JPN team think what to say and what not, then the NA/EU team display the info. All of this to avoid situations where a community member say something he shouldn't

Because unless they're allowed to give certain answers, we need to hear it from the big guy himself. NA can't speak without permission or an absolute answer.

Yes, I understand that they have to get the answers and the okay from Japan. This doesn't explain why we must wait till Live letters to hear those answers. Here's the way it should work... Community posts questions on forums>CMs take said questions and email or phone them in to Japan>Japan replies with answers>CM posts answers on foums. This process should take days not weeks/months.

there's another think to take in mind with this: they not release any info if isn't already set in stone. Let's say, if they say "in patch 21. there'll be beaty salon", and then they can't release it but in patch 2.3, people will feel betrayed. They are really caution in this, they don't release anything if they aren't sure

Let's say, if they say "in patch 21. there'll be beaty salon", and then they can't release it but in patch 2.3, people will feel betrayed. Oh but companies like Square Enix makes plans for what they want to implement patches ahead. They dont magically decide "this should be in the patch, make it ready for next week". They know exactly what they're releasing in 2.1 and 2.2
If they can't plan ahead they'd never get stuff done.

I know and that's have nothing to do with what i said. I they aren't totally sure they can make it to release as planned they just don't release nothing
