SCH + SCH the superior option in FARMING COIL. my opinions inside

This is NOT about LEARNING this is about post learning, FARMING the binding coil. I believe in my personal opinion that White Mage brings more of a learning style for raiding progression (current content - subject to change) and Scholar brings more of an advance tactical style. One additional note is that of course White Mage brings the superior AOE healing. (not bashing WHM I main WHM/SCH)

Turn 1: ADS - the strategies can be different here and there but, for the most part the mitigation on bubble and having lustrate up makes the boss a joke (already is) this already combined with the duo setup of double Paladin makes perfect sense to have.

Snake: most of the players I have talk to that are currently farming coils do not feed slimes to the snake after the split and just burn it down to death. (again WHM is better here for Learning more healing output in faster timeframes) With double SCH/PLD the mitigation is insanely high combine that with Selene (bordeline OP utility) the fight becomes a very relaxing casual fight

Turn 2: The only thing I can say about this turn is that SCH should remain at 80-90% MP the entire time with x2 PLD x2 SCH...... It is a joke for FARMING again this fight is quite difficult for learning though even learning WHM may struggle with MP and would require ballad cutting off 20% DPS.

Turn 3: waste of space go naked here.......

Turn 4: This one is the one that I am on the fence about because my White Mage is better gear over my Scholar but the same strategies should apply the simple fact you can have mitigation and 30% increase to spell/skill speed up combine that with another fairy focus healing (if you manual control fairy + physick combination heal its about 1650 heal per cast) I think SCH is again the better choice. (I have seen this been done in videos so please do not say its impossible and they clear it without so much as a struggle - SCH dpsing the bugs)

Turn 5: Now this one is the one that irks me - for learning WHM most defiantly but the thing is SCH from the get-go of this fight is far superior.... the fact lustrate is always 25% HP and you can cast Selene + Eos + bubble + bypass Death Sentence healing reduction >.< I just cannot see how White Mage holds up to the SCH here, SCH is the primary factor in turn 5; I CHALLENGE! to take a double WHM to turn 5 I want to see it been done because I just cannot see the HUGE healing reduction be worth the time.. although OP double regen? xD

I agree with the first 2 turns, but turn 4 is so sketchy as far as taking massive hits, i can imagine it's hard for the SCH's to keep up without those huge cure bombs WHM get.

Thanks for the write up, learning Scholar now so this is promising. What kind of gear is necessary for just burning the snake instead of the feeding method?

SCH are amazing, I love them ^^. However, having a WHM and a SCH is the way to go IMHO, both bring something to the table and both works well together ^^. We are clearing Coil in one hour T1-T4 with both in the party, we usually stick the SCH on the MT and the WHM for the OT and the rest of the group.

Nevertheless, I'm just against stacking jobs, one of each is the way I like more, 1 PLD, 1 WAR, 1 SCH, 1 WHM, 1 BLM, 1 SMN, 1 Bard & 1 MNK.

In our setup the PLD is tanking x2 dreadnoughts the bubble alone with eye for an eye + shield oath shaves off a good 600+ dmg, additionally if you manual cast the fairy or plant them close to tank it will disregard its AI and only heal the tank it is currently on with proper sync time Embrace + Physick now become Cure II which for me right now is healing at my gear level 1520-1540 WHM Cure II is healing 1620-2100-3.1k Crit. Another thing I want to point out is that my WHM needs a ballad in turn 4 meanwhile the SCH maintains such a good MP management cycle if properly time every skill with the monsters AA rotation.

I do not spam Adlo for Turn 4 I would wait for the big hit use Adlo then rouse + phy + embrace for 1 2 physick more then enough.

Honestly for learning I recommend full DL +1 Relic - Although I did do it my first time with +1 relic and AK gear/DL (still use AK boots LOL on turn 2 4 5)

If SCH's gear for crit, yes. Adlo for a nice 1200 heal and 2400+ shield hehe.
