    Full suit vs individual pieces

So I have been wondering if its worth it to go with the suits of armor that fill all 4 major armor slots or just go with individual pieces. It seems like if you don't have anything better, then go for it. But it feels like you should replace it as soon as you can. Are there any distinct advantages for full suits?

I could be wrong as I have not hit the 50 range. But I really hate the full suits on an aesthetic point of view. The fact your character can't move their head bothers me. Nor can you opt out of having the helm on.

I also hate the "Heavy" suits of armor. They are ugly aesthetically and the fact that it takes up 2 slots of gear just annoys me from an optimization perspective. I've just about boycotted that armor type.

yeah i usually opt for individual pieces rather than full suits. i'm not sure if i'm correct, but it seems multiple pieces have slightly less armor but give more stats.

I went for the first full suit of armor you can get in the game, but quickly ditched it. No way does my girl want her face to go unseen in those bulky pieces of garbage.

Sadly our Darklight gear is one of these ugly sets. Sad to have to trade in our beautiful AF set for this bulky mess.

I've opted to go with the Scale armor (lvl 23) as opposed to the full heavy armor set simply because the heavy sets look so unbelievably ugly.
I really wonder who designed these horrible armor pieces.

i started boycotting it the moment i tried it on.

i know i'm going to have to improve my gear from AF to DL sometime soon, but they seriously couldn't give me an option on what i want to wear?

i like the look of darklight for every other disciple of war, but heavy armor looks terrible in my opinion.

I am the same way, i have been putting it off getting the body DL but i guess i am going to have to do it. I hate the 1 piece look of it all.

With no look change options we are going to be wearing this ugly stuff for a long time, until hopefully crystal tower gives us different options.

I could care less what armor looks like to an extent. It's all about the stats. If you can get more stats going piece by piece then do that but if the full plate sets give better stats then wear those.

Whoever designed the heavy armor model must've been under the impression that tilting armour was historically worn on foot. For whomever that person is, I recommend you pick up "Weapons & Armour" by Matthew Balent and take notice of how even the heaviest Maximilian style plate armour when made for on-foot use was designed to allow maximum mobility. The only time armour pieces are bolt-ed on, especially helmets is for tilting. Because, when you're tilting you do not need to turn your head and otherwise you do not want your head to be turned by an incoming lance. The idea of using tilting armour or even a bolted-on helmet on foot is just ridiculous.
