Turning camera with the mouse while holding middle mouse button

Just like the title says, I'm trying to figure out how to turn the camera while holding down the middle mouse button. For some mind boggling reason, holding the middle mouse button seems to lock me out from moving the camera with either of the other two main mouse buttons. You can still turn the camera with the keyboard, but I only use the keyboard for strafing and moving forward/backward. Keyboard turning is a no-no for me.

The middle mouse button has been my push to talk key for years, and I've never run into an MMO with this problem. I've unbound the middle mouse button from my keybinds; I believe it was set to auto-run by default. Is there a setting somewhere I can change that prevents this screen "locking" from happening, or is it hard coded into the game? I play many other games, and would like to avoid having to rebind my ptt key just for a single game. I'm rather picky about my keybinds.

The middle mouse is indeed a pain. I use the right-click-to-steer method of moving, configure button 3 (middle) as 'forward' and button 4 as 'auto-run. If I click B4 and start running, then right-click to steer I'll often accidentally hit B3 and run in a straight line as the steering doesn't happen: trying to press B3 and then steer never works.

I configure the mouse in the same way in all games I play but only in XIV does this steering problem happen.

It's not SE's 'fault' per se as it's hard to call it a 'bug', but it would be nice if the middle button didn't interfere with the operation of the right button.

Yeah, I'm the type of player who sets up 30+ keybinds for mmos (including shift modifiers) and I have small hands for a guy so it's hard for me to reach keys far away from wasd.

I use a naga mouse that has 12 side buttons, q, e, f, z, x, c and shift with all of those buttons for abilities. Without gimping my movement and mouse turning, the middle mouse button is the only ptt option I really have.

I'm admittedly still very early in the game, so I'm not quite aware of how many abilities I'll need to bind. I'll adapt if I need to, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
