I wonder how many people actually play on our server. Not including Bots/RMT's/Alts or people who have a second account for retainer space. I am talking about actual main chars on the server.

I would have to say its only like 2,000; if that. Most likely less.

I could see some server migration in the future if ps3 release and expansions dont increase population. My guess is that there are about 500 people that probably log on at least every other day to do more than start up a program.

PS3 isn't really going to be the games savior. If anything it'll up the Japanese population more than anything else.

Towards release, most active players during NA primetime was 800ish, I'm sure it's a third of that by now.

Yea it won't be a game saver, but it will definitely bring in the younger generation of gamers who don't play PC only games. When I started FFXI I started on ps2, so if there ever is an expansion that is released along with the ps3 version I could definitely see it attracting new players or bringing back old players that may have quit.

I think people are short selling the PS3 launch. I think there will be a huge market of players that will at least buy it, even if they don't stay with it.
