If you're rolling "need" on something you actually have a use for, go for it.
If you're rolling "need" because you want to NPC it for pocket change, or turn it in for seals, you're kinda just being a dick.
On seals: Not really being a dick per say. The game mechanic it self seems to have a loophole - you turn in gear for seals. Perhaps communication between the neediness should suffice? Or running the dungeon 4,000 times.
