A community worse than WOW's?

This annoys me to no end. If you queue for DF you should wait for them at bosses at least. YOU went to DF, when you can very easily just spam on your own server for groups, there is never a shortage of people waiting to go.

After I was tired of waiting on people in DF to watch cutscenes and people dying to stupid stuff and runs of CM always being long and painful, I figured I'd make groups in /shout but those were even worse. The players are even lesser skilled than the ones I find in DF and they always want to go with 1 tank, but that tank never knows how to pull adds off of healers that are standing right next to him, so both of us inevitably die on 2nd boss and after a wipe or two the group disbands. I actually spoke up once while the group was forming and asked for two tanks and when they said no, I politely left and the group leader proceeded to verbally abuse me in whispers.

And you can't even get an Ifrit group in shout cause no one on my server does that, but if you queue for that you only actually succeed maybe half the time because people are bad and there's always the jerk who quits and since we can't requeue for another member, the rest of us are forced to leave. Endgame right now is just a huge waste of time.

And since I had internet issues for 8 days and couldn't play, I'm behind the rest of my guild and we have way more healers than we need anyway and really only have enough active 50's at this point still playing to form 1 8 man group, so I have to pug everything. I have given up on my WHM altogether for the forseeable future and am leveling a Weaver/Botanist. The endgame community is so incredibly awful it's upsetting, the worst I have seen in any game. I would quit but this is the only thing my guildies are really playing together for now until Wildstar comes out.

I ask the new players nicely to skip cutscenes and to watch in the Inn. I also inform them that they too will be doing CM 50+ times for their gear so if they simply pay it forward we can all save eachother tons of time.

Say the combined CS time in CM is 5 minutes, multiply that by 50 and you're sitting through nearly 5 hours of people waiting for cutscenes before youre done with CM. Ultimately, it is to the individual's discretion, but I always try to ask nicely.

se needs to remove all cs from dungeons, no need for them inside.

upon first opening the dungeon have a cs then to tell the tale and be done with it (mind you make it cool for those that love them)

i havent reached 50 dungeons yet but always skip the cs, not just to keep things moving but im really not interested in them, im there to fight, not watch cs. but having them when i opened the quest to enter sure...i would have sat through them easily

If I DF and someone wants to watch the cutscenes, I will accommodate them. It's not worth ruining someone's enjoyment just to cut a run time down by five minutes. If that margin is important enough to me, I will make a premade group for it specifically to avoid that.

As a tank, if someone is attempting to be impertinent and just trying to speed pull the bosses while people are enjoying cutscenes, I will happily let them die.

i like to do Cm as quick as possible, that being said, ive never berated or insulted someone who watches cutscenes. In fact i actually troll people that are rude to other players, sending them ?'s "like how should i play my class " and my favorite "is this one with the guy you have to fight?" etc

I have read though this whole thing and the one thing that pisses me off more then the community being asshats, is that everything thinks this is "endgame" the game is paused at level 50 right now so that the new players can catch up to the players from 1.0. Then they will start releasing new content and raising level caps so for the love of god if you truely think you can "beat the game" off of the free month you are sadly mistaken. This game has a lot longer to go and a lot more story to be seen.

I guess they should start with greatly increasing leave penalty (make it time left to complete instance minus time spent in queue), and hiring DF police that will give extreme punishments to player that harras others or try to force them to leave (up to perma ban on non-full premade DF for not later than 3rd offense).

Heaven forbid people enjoy the story in an MMO...
