CNJ and WHM - How to: Golding Fates

Good news all CNJ and WHM that are struggling getting Gold especially on boss fates! I found out that your contribution toward damage and healing will change how you get Gold medals.

How it seems to be working now is that your healing and damage contribution averages or minuses out at the end of the fate. If you have high amount of healing, and moderate damage rating, you will only receive Silver and many times Bronze. However from what I'm seeing it seems to be subtracting from eachother.

I have tested this by only throwing in one stone at the bosses, and continuously only healing and regenning players and I easily get a gold medal even if the fate only lasted 15 seconds. This has been accurate thus far with over 20 boss fates. Also, I have not been in a party throughout this entire test.

To recap: If you want to get Gold as a WHM or CNJ, DO NOT MIX IN BOTH DAMAGE AND HEALING. Choose one or the other. If you're fighting any weak fate bosses that can't really deal damage, do damage. If it's a hard hitting fate boss, go for healing.


For all the other fates:

Grinding/Escort/Defense Fates: Hit every target once (Aero should do it). You need to be on the aggro list of quite a couple to Gold.
Item Fates: Turn in 6 quest item.
Boss Fates: Deal a lot of damage (Which you shouldn't because the number needed is pretty high and you won't have enough MP to usually do so on Lv. 30+ Fates), or Heal moderately only (You can easily Gold by a few decent healing).
