Hopefully, my suggestion is simple to implement, and many people appreciate and enjoy it.

Currently, FFXIV does not allow the player to enter the character-creator unless they have an available character-slot open. For example, if a player only wishes to have one playable character, once they have finished creating that character they can no longer activate, open, or use the character creator in any form or fashion. In FFXI, and many other MMOs, even if a player's account has no available character-slots, the player may still "play around" in the character-creator.

I propose that an option to explore and experiment within the character-creator (regardless of character-slot availability) be added to the game. Additionally, the option to save character-builds (as already exists) should be allowed in this "explore and experiment" mode, so that if a player grows attached to a particular character they have designed, they can simply save it for the day they may purchase a new character-slot.

As a side note; this feature would be a great place to showcase new character customization features (such as hairstyles, faces, and body types) if they are implemented into the game.

Thank you for your consideration.
