Unacceptable Lag / ISP Throttle (Petition)

during the day there is no issue but from 5pm to about 11pm I get disconnected every 30 minutes or so or randomly. I can connect to other websites fine and my streaming music etc still plays so I don't think it's my internet either.

Already informed the people I play with I won't be playing beyond my initial month because of this. Been complaining about it for weeks now and have been completely ignored. Had to make a toon on a different server than my friends thanks to population caps. Took forever just to get to 50 thanks to 1017 never letting me play. Can't do any endgame because of the rubberbanding issue described in this thread and 50 others. Try being the interrupt tank and having the group screaming their heads off at you for not getting that last cast when you never saw it until it was already gone.

The whole experience has been really poor. All new MMO's have problems, but not to this degree. My free month is up and all I've really gotten to do so far is grind levels in the middle of the night when 1017 would let me on. End-game is impossible with this lag. With this problem being ignored, forking over subscription money in the hopes that it will eventually be acknowledged, and then maybe even worked on seems like a really stupid idea. I've seen no reason to believe this will be fixed any time soon.

I will not be paying a subscription for a game that is largely unplayable. This problem is obviously a large issue and SE is not openly addressing it or giving us updates. I am not playing this game to help host instances for SE.

With Verizon Fios I've been having the same issues as everyone else. I've been unable to complete my story quest due to instance mechanics being impossible to do with 3-10 sec spikes. Currently the only way for me to play the game is by paying for 3rd party software (Pingzapper is working for me, instead of large spikes I have very high consistent lag.) Why should I have to pay two subscriptions in order for the game to be playable?

I cannot do titan anymore, after having killed him TWICE on hardmode, getting hit 4 times and dying out of one-hundred titan fights, I am no longer able to do him, and cannot get my relic on WHM. I constantly get hit by stuff I'm out of the AOE on, my entire raid is lagging, my entire raid tells me they see me out of circles for 2-3 seconds at a time, yet still die. Everyone in my FC lags, half of /shout is lagging, every DF group you run into for random content talks about this lag.

As much as I hate to admit it I'm with the others here. My son can play CoD without a hitch, no lag while at the same time I'm streaming movies and video from Amazon and or playing a game like Rift or Terra or even WoW sometimes Diablo or Dota2. None of which lag even a little. I get on FF and run a few steps stop run a few steps stop, npc's taking seconds to even a minute or more to show on screen. Have not even tried to do any more dungeons since this started there is no way I'm going to be at fault for letting my group die because I didn't see their health dropping until they were already dead. It's sad because when the game works it is by far the best I have ever played but even the best I have ever played can become unplayable and unworthy of my valuable time if all it does is make me nerd rage for all the lag that is ruining my game play.

Please at least let us know you are working to resolve this issue, give us something. Until then like the others /Sign

Yes!!! Please something needs to be done!!! Great computer/connection yet there is the horrible lag....having to play low graphic settings and yet it still lags the same. Obviously I won't be subscribing, even free to play games lag less than this "high end" game. It's a very amazing game but it just cant be enjoyed at the moment

I came to the forums today to post almost exactly the same thing as the OP. I have a great connection when it comes to games and I am reasonably close to where SE's servers are for Final Fantasy. However, the game lags so much, I play a black mage and the lag ruins my play experience with awful cast bar timing (I do not spam skills). In addition, whenever people are mounted or even walking it looks like they are stuttering along as they run. I have played almost every major MMO and I have never experienced lag this bad. The best thing I can compare it to is if anyone has played Guild Wars 2 World vs. World and the massive zergs converge, that is what this game plays like all the time...

Currently until this is fixed, I will not be subbing because I know it is not my computer and it is their servers. I do hope they fix it because I really want to enjoy this game.
