How to defeat 401/601 with 100% success rate

To preface this, in case you had not seen my previous thread, under some rather extenuating circumstances I had found that not only Square-Enixs new billing system given errors on all of my cards (including one that, well frankly, NO business with a shred of sanity would turn down) but that I happen to not be on a continent where Ultimate Game Cards are sold nor could I switch my account to my Europeville address proper in order to use a time card as a choice that I COULD buy here readily.

"Square-Enix, take my money!" has pretty much been the battle cry of the week. I have pulled Excalibur from the stone and wished to share my workaround with you. Without further pomp and circumstance, I give you the answer:

Step 1. Have a PayPal account and have some money is said PayPal account.

Step 2. Go to the Mogstation and figure out how much Crysta you are going to need to buy the subscription plan that you want. (In my case, since I just want to get on with a month of playtime to tide me over, I figured a $20 card would fit the bill.)

Step 3. I won't be accused of advertising for what website I used to do this, just know the result is what matters. Find a website that sells Ultimate Game Cards and offers online delivery. (In my case, I probably couldn't buy with my credit cards at said sites because I was trying to make a USD transaction from a foreign IP, thus triggering every red alert in E-Business).

Step 4. Check out and pay using PayPal. Then wait for your order confirmation that should give you your redemption code from Ultimate Game Card.

Step 5. Go back to Account.square-enix.com and buy Crysta using the pay with Ultimate Game Card option then put in the redemption code.

Step 6. Buy your game time with Crysta at the MogStation

Step7. Play FFXIV like a boss.

Of course if you choose "Update Account Information" you find yourself in the old billing site. You can then choose About Crysta, that links to this: http://eu.square-enix.com/en/seaccount/crysta Choosing Add Crysta to Your Square Enix account takes you back to the old billing site, gives you some options for Crysta amounts to purchase, but then when you do, before asking how you want to pay, you get this:

That error indicates your country doesn't have access to crysta like so many others.

I am getting sick of how many threads about this same solution....if it is working for you, congratulations but please don't post about it for the 8th time....it is not a solution but a workaround and not everybody can do it.

I'm sure if I blow $40 for 2 months of subscription I can get in, but $43 could get me 3 months if Square Enix fixed their trash MogStation and actually charged my Mastercard properly.
