I have done over thirty runs of Brayflox over the last week or so, trying to slowly accumulate the Battlemage set. Most of the runs have been okay, some have been quite bad. ;x As a healer I have never left one except when others were already leaving anyway. In some runs we'd wipe about 3-4 times on Aiatar at the end, but we'd still pull through. Some we wipe that many times and then run out of time. Some we would kill it first go. I think Brayflox is the first real test of coordination I think? And it's more of a tank's-fight than not.

All in all, I haven't seen many ppl leave. I do see some really bad playing though that makes me sad. :\ But I just stick it out and hope for the best. I try my best to keep everyone safe, even if the tank isn't doing a good job with mob control, or if a DPS are all attacking different mobs. ;x

If you're a tank please take responsibility in your gear - it's so important for your class. One run, a gladiator/paladin even had a lvl 8 shield.

There should be at least a 60 minute ban from the DF and dungeons overall if you leave. So tired of bad mannered players who belong in SP games only

Given the behaviour of the jerk tanks and healers being discussed in this and other threads are you surprised when the newbie doesn't 'own up' to it? Frankly the 'you have a noob in your party' display should be removed given the attitude it has caused.

So you want SE to force us to dungeon with incompetent people? Or force us to carry incompetent or under geared players? Cause that's what makes tanks and healers leave majority of the time. I know if I'm trying for gear from a dungeon why spend a hour + with under geared / incompetent players when it should take 30 minutes. Also the fact that every one and their mothers went dps. And finally some people have limited time to game and many may not want to spend it teaching dungeons / dealing with incompetence / people that aren't geared for the content.

Even if it was 90 minutes I would still leave as a healer. I can go craft for a while as I know when I go to queue again it will be instant. I am pretty patient but, I will not bang my head against a dungeon a hundred times because one person is furiously undergeared or is so terrible that they cannot get the simplest of mechanics. I wasted an hour and a half of my time this weekend in an AK run because of terrible DPS that cannot avoid purple stuff on the ground or had the most terrible gear and could not avoid purple stuff. So having to wait in a 90 leaver debuff is no problem, it saves me from a headache.

I actually had 2 people own up to it this weekend in AK, I dont mind people that are new, but these guys were in AK in level 20-40 gear and vendor weapons. It is not possible to complete this dungeon in bad gear. We let them know and both of them said they did not know what to do at end game, we let them know and they left thanking us. Some people want to be carried and some just dont know better.

I think dps forget too often that the DF is there to help them. As a healer or tank you are half of a competent group. I can spend 5 minutes in shout at revs and have a 2 tanks, 4 dps, a second healer and bagels with cream cheese. Most games that have tried to copy WoWs duty finder miss a key element. You have to set the difficulty for the absolute lowest common denominator in your community. That means having no mechanics to the fight whatsoever. Every one has to be go in attack boss collect loot.

As others have said if you make the duty finder inconvenient for people playing core jobs they just won't mess with it.

Ok but when I see the message I ask who is new and if they need help/instruction on the boss battle 9/10 time no one reply and yet once we get to the first boss its very clear who has not done the run yet... unfortunate because I could fix that in like 1min at the beginning of dungeon. I always say when I am new and never has anyone gone noob healer and rage quit I say New to this please advise of anything particular... someone always kindly lets me know ^_^

Then AK shouldn't be the first thing they throw at us at 50, just because the GC expects you to. That demon wall is a pain in the ass if its meant to be a DD check as blm, even with swiftcast still too little time to DD with having to move more then actual casting. The proc for fire 1 to get the free fire 3 free is not enough, depends on luck. Scathe is another instant but really...Fights just annoying in the first place or maybe I just need a better weapon then the 44 stuff you get stuck with thru the GC company.

i had no problems with df at all becouse i was always talking "first time" please explain and so on you should allways do that. i am helping ppl too if they run first time ak or cm or what ever.. the only problem i saw in df if some one says "SPEED RUN" and everyone run and dont know what to do. then some one dies or pulls something and then some one leaves.
