Valkyria Chronicles? It's the only other one I can think of off the top of my head.Oh, I got ya. Here's a link to the info on this if anyone else was wondering - http://www.videogamer.com/news/ps3_t...uary_2009.html
"Today a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson confirmed that this information is accurate, stating: "Yes from Jan 09 all games must have trophies."
And yes I was thinking of games such as MGS4 and another one I can't remember the name of...
On topic, I'd love to see FFXIV on Steam, don't know why it isn't already.

Oh that is so simple!! XDIf you want to do this, open the main Steam window up, click on where it says "+ ADD A GAME..." and just browse to the FFXIV .exe file if it already isn't in the list of installed applications that Steam brings up for you.
You'll be happy to know Steam overlay works with it too so you can do everything you would normally be able to do with the Steam overlay like take screenshots ingame (using F12) and publish them on your steam profile so your friends can see them, and using the web browser.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for explaining it to me.![]()
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
Trophies were introduced at the beginning of 2009. At that time, Sony would require developers to add Trophies for every game to be release from that year on. You can read more about it here: http://www.videogamer.com/news/ps3_t...uary_2009.htmlReally? That's the first I've heard of such rules.
Actually I can think of a few games which I have on my PS3 which do not have trophies, though the trend today is that they do have trophies.
If you know where I can find these SDK rules it would be nice if you could link them.
Edit: (Dang, i should've read the next page... Adol beat me to it... lol)

Credit goes to Niqo'te for her fabulous art in the "Nique's happy fun time!"-thread and Nix/Capa for the Caitlyn drawing to the right. \(^_^ )/

We already have achievements on our Lodestone profiles. If they do anything, it should be adding effects for when we earn the achievements in-game + an interface to view our earned/yet to earn achievements.
I think this is a good idea, only for the fact it will release the game on steam. Possibly have a steam sale for ffxiv on pc the same weekend that the game comes out on ps3. This will bring in a large number of people. I don't think I have ever seen a steam sale where the game on sale hasn't been the top seller for that week, even if it looks like garbage. If the game comes out on steam, and if they do have a steam sale for it, not only would it bring in a ton of new players on the pc version as well as the mass boost we will get for the ps3 version but it would also add a new outlet for new players to purchase the game down the road.
Of course, no matter how good of an idea this is, it probably won't ever happen.
Love this idea!![]()

I run the game through Steam and I love it. I have to do a fullscreen setup due to having a dual graphics cards. (2xATI 5770) and having the Steam overlay with a web browser is great! I used this constantly until I just recently got an iPad. Now that sits next to my PC while I play for wiki lookups.
Achievements are not the primary benefit of Steamworks. Especially PS3 Synced Steamworks.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
