Character Runs Slow

So I noticed in game that party members and people for that matter run faster than I do. I am always lagging behind the party and even on chocobo I seem slow. Is this simply the fact that my computer is not optimal (which it's not) or is it something else?

Could maybe try downloading more ram to see if it helps speed things up any.

Try emptying your inventory a little. If you're carrying alot of stuff, its bound to slow you down.

Hang a carrot on a stick in front of your computer. It will most certainly run faster.

Low FPS and server delay can cause your character to move slightly slower than others.

If you're on PC, it sounds like your framerate might just be.. low. A low framerate in FFXI as an example, would cause my character to move slower than anyone else.. This is because a large portion of how character movement was handled was by the client, not the server, so if your framerate was slow you'd be moving slower because your game is quite literally running slower. This is probably the case with FFXIV too.

If you're PS3, I have no idea. Perhaps it is overheating.

I have this problem too! Did you ever figure out what it is? Is it the frame rate, or having a less than optimal PC (which I do have)?
