Error 2002 and 90000

Is this something you know for sure? where are you getting this info from and can you show your source? i understand it might take some time to work out the problem. After so many people posting about it you'd think they would give some kind of response. Even if it's just a acknowledgement of the problem.

It is kind of unfortunate, I haven't really been able to play reliably at all, let alone being able to even get to the log-in screen.

It is because, if you can use a Network tunnel for example to connect to another Router that is under another ISP, and it lets you connect via there Connection, it shows that its trouble with the ISP, I could play completely fine 3 days ago, But until i started playing i suddenly just couldn't anymore and it would throw me right into a 2002 Error, That shows that a block and throttle was placed, to see if your ISP did the same, Do this simple test.


Load a long Youtube video thats an hour long,
Play the video (preferably music)

Try logging in.

You will notice that the music will stop playing for your youtube video as soon as you try loading the server data.

Why?

Because the packets for the game are grouped together with the youtube video data, So those packets end up being dropped, Making the video instantly Freeze, a pretty simple way to see if a connection is throttled.

Best thing you can do is Contact your ISP, and Complain at them, tell them that you play this game and have heard that they might be throttling the connection, do your best in your power to make them at least open the ports for your data center location.

videos have no problem playing while i try to log in. i cant even get past error 2002 right now. i don't think i said this before but i play on the pc. Just seem like a really good game, sucks that it has so many problems. i even waited a few weeks before buying in hopes this would all be sorted out. my ips has never stopped any other games i have had and when i am in game i have no lag at all, not even lag spikes. Now i'm not saying your wrong but none the less it's a problem with this game and i hope they can get it sorted out.

There appears to be no check on the system to make sure you have an active internet connection between the two...
If you get DC'd... it just sticks...

I usually get random errors 90000 while playing (most annoying ones during crafting or dungeons) (~6-7 per day?) i set priorities for ffxiv to above average but that didnt solve anything, please help :/

i also checked my connetion and its ok, no interrumptions at all but still get an error 90000 (and i tell my fc/ls mates inmediatly on mumbe/rc) :/

Today I started getting error 90000. Whenever I log my character is frozen, and a couple of seconds later I get kicked with the error mentioned before. Been playing for almost a month and it's the first time happening.

Same. I'm not even lagging. I'm hitting my macros just fine, dodging Titan hard mode's attacks just fine, and then I instantly get a disconnection with error 90000. No lag at all, nothing to indicate that I would drop. It's completely instant.

It is definitely not just you bro... I have 2002 every time in the character selection screen and 90000 while in a Duty Finder mission......
