Malevolent mogwand?

It looks like the best 1 handed weapon available for conj/WHM is the malevolent mogwand. Lev 70 1h wand.

Item databases don't show the drop source. I know the 3 hard mode primal fights drop 3 different kinds of level 70 2h canes, does this wand drop from the HM primals as well? If so, which ones?

dropped from moogle fight in v1 - they are adding it back in a future update

It drops from Good King Moggle Mog. He was one of the primals you were able to fight in FFXIV 1.0 but they temporarily took him out of the game. Yoshi P said that this encounter is returning to the game as early at patch 2.1 so please look forward to it

(They probably waited to implement him in 2.0 because the mechanics to fight him in 1.0 were kind of dumb. Tank had to kite him the entire fight until all adds were dead. I think they took some extra time to re-adjust the mechanics for the fight.)

Well it dropped from none other than Good King Moggle Mog primal of well the moogles. Do note that dropped as in past tense as good king moggle mog isn't in ARR... yet...

I'll hack this thread to ask what I've been wondering for a while. I personally like playing with wand+shield, I like the extra defense. But I see most WHMs use staves. Is it just a matter of personal preferences or there's something that makes staff better?
