70 pages later, the thing with this is, we didn't need it in 1.00
You want to wear 50 armor at 5? Go ahead, fill your boots. It was as good to you as the best level 5 armor available at around 5000% the repair cost.
While I see your point the thing is it's not only about using higher level gear at low levels. A good portion of us want to use, say, level 20 gear at 50 while still being effective.
I never played 1.0 but I think if they had a system to bolster stats of low level equipment to be on par with endgame equipment someone would have mentioned it.

I didn't see where they said it was finished. If it was finished, they would put it in. They said it would be released for 2.2, and there's no sense begging for them to implement unfinished content.

Nova Crystallis: How is progress on the vanity slot system coming along? Will it still be released in a later patch or might it make it for the official release?
Yoshida: The design is already in the system, so it’s just deciding when to implement it. If we sort of add that slot to the UI now it won’t work straight away so it’s just about the timing. I probably won’t add it in the beginning because it might be too complicated and won’t look great, so maybe in six month’s time.

List updated.

Personally I think the DCUO Style system is even better than Rifts. It would save the visual style of every single piece of gear you obtained in your style UI, so even if you discarded the gear, you could still equip its appearance whenever you wanted (and change its colour for free at the same time, but thats another topic :P). This way you don't need to fill up inventories with vanity stuff.

Hahaha OK. So because it might be "complicated" and "won't look great" they choose to not implement it? Everyone looking THE SAME looks worse than a rough-around-the-edges UI element IMO. Strange priorities...
That is also a very good system! I'd take that or Rift's.Personally I think the DCUO Style system is even better than Rifts.
