I'm not sure how you imagine 2.2 introducing significantly more variety in gear. Levels 1-50 are still going to have zero variety, unless they go back and redo the armor designs for the leveling process (which would be nice).

Signed, one of the biggest reasons I stayed away from the tank classes was because I hated the way their armor looked. Really hoping that we can get some vanity slots soon.

Vanity would be amazing and was my favorite addition to other MMOs when added. Wore the level 15 dungeon robe all the way through 40 because I loved the way it looked. Still want to wear it.
