Thread: Petition for Vanity Slots to be released in 2.1 Patch!

I wouldn't think it'd be that bad of coding (not that I have a clue about coding). You'd have two sets of character slots. One slot would look at an item's appearance files and show it, the other would look at an items stats and add that to the character's stats.

It can't be that hard to do... Or so my ignorant self thinks. ^.^;

I hope event items are permitted, I really do. Right now everybody is like "ZOMG NO SWIMSUITS!" but those aren't the only event items. Like the pretty cherry blossom earrings, or the heart choker my friend got during a valentines day event (really hoping I get a chance to get one of them). I'd love to wear beautiful things like that.

There will be certain limitations depending on your job/class to prevent more wacky setups.
Then again, there are many other immersion breaking things in this game already with more to come.

Not going to cry in my sleep if bathing suits aren't allowed. However there will always be people breaking immersion in MMOs, be they trolls or those players that simply don't care. Personally people wearing skimpy/trollish costumes in a dungeon is one of the least of my concerns given all the other buffoonery one is subjected to when playing with the general public.

Either way people using the vanity system to strut around half naked have always been a minority in previous MMOs, so try not to worry about it.
