Petition to lift the silly dye restrictions:

Just say NO to vanity slot restrictions:

Honestly? *sighs*
Don't get your hopes up. If we see this feature (which has been asked for since they first began coding for ARR, btw.) before PAtch 2.4, I'll be surprised. Really surprised.
I know this sounds like naysaying, and it probably is, but SE/Yoshi simply seem to have different priorities than the players seem to have. *shrugs*
We'll see what comes of it. Maybe even as soon as christmas 2014.![]()
Run, wolf warrior, to realms eternal....

*cries*Greetings,
We realize that there is a huge demand for vanity slots and the development team would like to implement this as soon as possible. However, implementation will not make it in time for patch 2.1.
We'll be sure to keep you updated on the status, but rest assured that it is on the way!
I don't wanna wear Darklight on my Paladin T_T

Pardon my ignorance as I have no experience in such things, however from what I understand, wouldn't it be as simple as creating an npc that can allow you to change the .dat? or graphic file? of a selected item to a different items /dat/graphic file?Greetings,

Maybe a feature where the items have to be for the same class, and you have to have acquired the vanity file you wish to use and have in hand the item whose graphic you want to change. For example, getting the mages battlerobe (lvl 30?) would give you the ability to apply that graphic file to a militia robe. Getting rid of the item does not get rid of the abilitiy to use that graphic file on an item. It would be like collecting vanity files instead of minions, and having to go to an npc to change the graphic.
Is this possible/easily implementable?

This is so true. Appearance is way more important than a lot of people might give it credit for. If we don't like the look of our character, it's very hard to connect to it and to the game in extension.
This should have been in place when the game launched. With all the emphasis placed on aesthetics/personalization, especially with the upcoming housing project, it makes no sense at all that we can't do something as simple as changing the appearance of our gear. It's obscene that some people are actually defending the delay.Greetings,

I really hope they do, because doing a Titan run in a swimsuit or Christmas gear would make it much more tolerable. Oh, or a pink HARD leather subligar...Greetings,

Please add this ASAP. I just got out of Vanya and now the PvP robes look exactly like Vanya, ffs.
Well, I'm not even up to endgame stuff... and I do not enjoy the heavy darklight I see around... I personally think it's rather ugly.
But I am aware others may like that. For them that's great...
But for others, we want to wear what we like the looks of and not be penalized for it.
Edit: oh lookie, Rep post...
